What is my age group?

Can my child play at a different age group?

  • Generally, for soccer development SAC recommends playing with your appropriate age group. However, SAC realizes there may be instances where a player has advanced skills and should be moved to a higher age group. For Clinic, Recreation & Select, moving up an age group requires permission from the appropriate Age Group Coordinator and the Technical Director. For Travel, a player needs only to tryout and be picked for a team in a higher age group. Players are NOT allowed to play for a lower age group.

When does registration close?

  • Clinic – on or about September 15 (Fall) and March 31st (Spring).
  • Recreation – on or about August 31st for Fall play and March 15th for Spring play. Registrations after these dates places the player on a wait list and may result in the player not being placed. SAC will do its best to place all players.
  • Travel – teams are formed on a tryout basis and the player is required to register at the time of team acceptance
