RECREATION

Rec Program Types

Recreation (U7-14)

The Recreation program was designed to allow all boys and girls, regardless of experience, the opportunity to play the game of soccer. All players involved in the Recreation Level are guaranteed 50% of game play time.

Rec Plus (U8 only)
The Rec Plus program is designed for parents in the U8 age group who are looking for a more intensive recreational soccer experience for their children. Rec Plus teams will practice twice a week and play an eight game season. One of the weekly practices will be conducted by a SAC appointed professional coach; this session will be referred to as Technical Training. Participation in the Rec Plus program will require the additional expense of about $100 per player for the year. This expense covers the additional technical training sessions.

High School (U15-U19)
The High School league was designed to allow players the opportunity to play competitive soccer throughout their high school years. Teams can contain players who are participating on their high school varsity teams and those who are not. All players are welcome, regardless of skill levels.

Rec Program Details

Age Restrictions
Division placement is based on the player’s gender and year of birth. Players are permitted to play up (with permission), but not play down.

Gender Restriction
SAC adheres to a strict gender-based team policy. There are no coed teams allowed in the Recreation Program. There will be no exceptions made at the request of parents in this regard.

Cost
Consult our Fee Schedule for details. Registration is for Fall/Spring or Spring only play.

Team Formation
SAC makes every effort to place players on teams based on either (a) the school attended, (b) the district in which the player lives, (c) their previous year’s team and (d) any special requests made by parents. However, players are prioritized for location and request based team placement based on their date of registration. Players will be contacted with league/schedule/practice information by late-August for Fall play and late-March for Spring play by their assigned coach, either through email or by phone. Please contact your Age Group Coordinator with any questions or concerns with regards to team formation.
